Beautiful poppies

I know I have posted some gorgeous photos over the summer of the brilliant big red poppies growing in the garden. But this time these poppies are made of wool!

Remembrance Day in November is approaching and every year a local crochet group make and sell these beautiful poppies. ( All the money goes to the Royal British Legion.) I particularly like the purple poppy which helps us to remember all the animals lost at war. I got one for Peppa to have on her collar! My red poppy has the most beautiful vintage black button as the centre. Last year we got a poppy made with for my dad, with his military police button as the centre. He was thrilled.
