I was going to apologies for yet again some more gorgeous vibrant flowers to look at, but I decided not to!
Sunflowers are so eye catching and "happy" that I love them when they are in season. They hold a very special place in my heart too as they were a very dear friends favourites. On one of our many fun days out with the children we drove past a stunning field of sunflowers. They went as far as the eye could see.... in sunny, rural Berkshire (not the South of France or Tuscany.) Suffice to say, we hoped the farmer didn't miss a couple ;)
They are real crowd pleasers....not only do I love the big flowerheads, so do the bees and the chickens love the seed heads.
