Bees and flowers

I find it fascinating to watch bees but also to listen to them. It all depends on the type of flower that is enticing them in as to the sound and speed they stay on/in each bloom. We have a very beautiful, big blossomed rhododendron and the bees flit in and out very quickly because the flowers are so open. Seeing them on the chives and the scabious is different again. The pincushion type flowers mean the bees can very easily sit and do their job but also rest. I have seen bees sleeping on the chive flower many times. But the sound of the bees entering and enjoying the foxgloves and irises is very different again and quite musical!
