Harvest time....

Head Gardener was harvesting early this morning. Such a lovely time of the day and the crop looks great.

I can't wait 'til the runners start to really be ready for picking. I think they're my favourite summer vegetable. Every year they bring back very fond memories of helping my gran and mum prepare them. We used a funny little tool to cut the beans and luckily I still have one.

Think a scrummy vegetable risotto with runner beans on the side will be on the menu today.
