Quinces are a very special fruit. So when I was offered some from a friend of my daughters, I said yes! I have made Membrillo, a thick sweet paste before but his time I fancy trying something different. They need to ripen a little so can sit on the window sill for a week. I will keep my eye on them but I know the fragrant perfume will start to make the kitchen smell very tasty. The quinces have a little fluff or bloom on them which will need wiping off, but as I expect the fruit will be peeled I will leave that for the moment. Now for the task of recipe searching. Watch this space.
