As things perk up in the garden (and please we do need a bit more warmth), it is so lovely to see plants come back year after year. It gives us time to remember family and friends who have given us plants or plants that remind us of them. We have a lovely brunnera that was given to my uncle. It has been split several times and given to others to enjoy.
We’ve got the wonderful forget me nots that are a big reminder of a dear friend. The lily-of-the-valley that is popping up all over the place is one of my mum's favourites. I remember a story of my dad taking all of it up from our garden because it was rather invasive. Well, yes it is a bit of a thug but rather a beautiful one.
We’ve planted quite a few seeds that have been given to us. Some from my sister, who loves to collect seeds and also Head Gardener has collected some favourites too. They are coming along (slowly) but getting there and how nice to keep and reproduce the flowers and vegetables that we have grown in previous years. We can chose our favourites and pass them on too.
