Rhubarb, Rhubarb!!

We don't seem to have much heat this spring and things seem very slow in the garden. But we do have some rhubarb.....yey.


I love rhubarb simply stewed with some brown sugar. I bet some of you may add sultanas or raisins to it too. I would, except for Head Gardeners aversion to soggy sultanas and raisins.


Last year I made a delicious gentle fragrant Pear and Rhubarb jam. But a good old crumble is on the menu for today. I've added a few strawberries from the fridge for a bit of summer sunshine flavour. Try it, it's a fantastic combination.
