This time last year I was buying all the tomatoes we ate. I love the different colours, sizes and shapes available We have had little success when growing them ourselves so don't bother growing them anymore. However this year with the strange times at home we have grown some.
One Thursday evening, whilst in our drive clapping for the NHS, a neighbour with a very successful germination rate, offered several of us some lovely little seedlings,. These have now been nurtured and helped by the lovely sunny hot days we've been having, are looking great and beginning to crop well. ( I did add to the collection with a couple of mail order plants.)
Delicious sliced with a drizzle of basil oil and sprinkle of salt and pepper. Nothing too fancy but perfect with a bit of bread to soak up the juices.
